This week was an exciting adventure as we celebrated Monster Week! We learned that monsters are really just creatures born from our own imaginations. Following a set of fun directions, we each created our own unique monsters. Even though we all started with the same guidelines, our monsters turned out to be very different! We discovered that this variety is due to the fact that we are all unique individuals with our own creative ideas. Drawing monsters was a breeze because there’s no specific way a monster must look! With this newfound freedom, we eagerly began to draw and color our own special monsters. After creating our monster, we each wrote a short story describing a monster from our imagination. These stories were compiled into a class book. To wrap up the week, we took part in a fun activity where we created a monster and planted some "monster hair." We hope that with a little sunlight and water, it will grow just like our imaginations!
